Dragon Events and the Alkmaar Dragon Boat Club team Dynamic Dragons would like to welcome your team to the Dutch Open Dragon Boat Championships in Amsterdam. The historic Bosbaan regatta course serves as the location of the Netherlands Dragon Boat Federation national championships, and this year the organizing committee is inviting teams from Europe and overseas to join the small, but ambitious field of Dutch competitors in Amsterdam on 24 September during the championships.

The organizing committee has reserved 10 racing slots for foreign teams. All races will be run in the open class, at all official EDBF distances: 200m, 500m & 2000m. The awards ceremony will be held during the closing party on Saturday night (giving teams a chance to tour Amsterdam on Sunday or travel back home). The entry fee for teams will be 185 euro per crew (just under 10 euro per person for a crew of 20 people). You may bring your own IDBF-spec boat or rent an IDBF-spec boat from the organizers (150 euro per crew).

The races will be run according to EDBF /IDBF racing rules, under the auspices of the NDBF and will be hosted by Dragon Events and the Alkmaar Dragon Boat Club. There are ample camping and hotel facilities in Amsterdam and the surrounding area.

Registration deadline for foreign teams is 1 September, payment deadline 17 September.

European Dragon Boat Federation shared Kayak Sans Frontières's event.
After three already successful international festivals Club Nautique de M'Bao in Senegal and Kayak Sans Frontières, France are once again collaborating on M'Bao 2018! The festival which is held in the seaside town of M'Bao, Senegal (Africa) uses the sport of dragon boating to unite the European and African cultures. The festival focuses on the importance of cultural enrichment and the environment; getting across the message that we must all respect and nurture our environment as it is a valuable resource. More information can be found here: https://drive.google.com/open… If you are up for a bit of cultural change and would like to do your bit for the environment then I cannot recommend this trip more.
