Service to Celebrate Phyll MacKeddie - 8 September 2012

13 August 2012 -
Dear All,

The location for the Memorial Service & Celebration of Phyll´s life is confirmed for Saturday 8 September 2012, at the All Nations Centre (Church) Cardiff, commencing at 4pm (16:00 hrs) but you are advised to be in the auditorium around 3.30pm (15:30 hrs) as many hundreds of parents and children, teaching colleagues as well as staff are expected from Phyll´s school, plus family and friends.

The All Nations Centre is situatied on the Eastern Avenue (A48), Cardiff, South Wales, opposite the University (Heath) Hospital, where Phyll spent her last few days. See the All Nations Centre website for details of the centre, directions to it and a location map.

If you wish to play a part in the celebration of Phyll´s life by saying a few words or telling a short story about Phyll, then please let me know and we will try to accommodate you.

Again please pass this information on to all those that you are in contact with who knew Phyll and maybe even those that did not, as all are welcome on the 8 September.

The general format for the afternoon will be a short service similar to the order followed at Phyll´s funeral service (see attached copy of the Order of Service) followed by a musical and active celebration of Phyll´s life.

If you wish to play a part in the celebration of Phyll´s life by saying a few words or telling a short story about Phyll, then please let me know and we will try to accommodate you.

After the service light refreshments will be available and a chance to meet Phyll´s family and others who knew Phyll, chat and reminisce until around 6pm (18:00 hours).

I do hope that you will be able to join us (please wear something light and colourful, we do not want the day to be a somber occasion) and I look forward to seeing you all on the 8 September.

Best wishes,
Mike

Mike Mackeddie-Haslam

European Dragon Boat Federation shared Kayak Sans Frontières's event.
After three already successful international festivals Club Nautique de M'Bao in Senegal and Kayak Sans Frontières, France are once again collaborating on M'Bao 2018! The festival which is held in the seaside town of M'Bao, Senegal (Africa) uses the sport of dragon boating to unite the European and African cultures. The festival focuses on the importance of cultural enrichment and the environment; getting across the message that we must all respect and nurture our environment as it is a valuable resource. More information can be found here: https://drive.google.com/open… If you are up for a bit of cultural change and would like to do your bit for the environment then I cannot recommend this trip more.
