European Dragon Boat Federation

International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF)

Working towards the inclusion of dragon boating as an Olympic sport. #dragonboat #olympics #SA2018 #unitedthroughsportToday at the SportAccord was the day of the AIMS Annual General Assembly. The IDBF is an AIMS Member but many people of the dragon boat community of Europe don’t know about AIMS and the important role of this organization within the IOC and the GAISF. I attended the Assembly together with Alan Van Caubergh and Mike Thomas IDBF President. We strongly support AIMS efforts to make all GAISF members to be also automatically IOC recognized.

Wow!!That's cool!!!

That would be so great!!!!

I remember discussions about this back in 1997 when the World Championships were in Hong Kong. IOC watched races in the Macau invitational events prior to the Worlds. Would be great to see this happen.
